Importing CSV files
How to format a CSV so our support team can import it into your account.
Last updated 12 days ago
Our support team can import expenses or income from a spreadsheet. Format the CSV files like the examples below and send it to hung@easy-expense.com
CSV Examples
Expense Transactions
Income Transactions
When the vendor/client column isn’t provided
Label the CSV as income or expense transactions so we know which type to upload.
Rules
Date: MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD
Column must include at least one: Vendor/Client or Description
E.g., if you only have the description column, that is acceptable. We’ll extract the vendors for you.
Total: numbers only, e.g.
1250.75, not$1,250.75. For expenses only, negative numbers become refunds. No blank or subtotal rows
Put expenses and income in separate files
Any other columns are ignored.
Where to send
Email CSVs to hung@easy-expense.com for processing.
After the import
Your transactions will appear in the Transactions tab ➜ New Transactions. Save them to add them to your workspace. See Reviewing Imported Transactions.
